What we collect

You can search clinics and browse listings without giving us anything. We only collect personal details when you request an appointment.

• When you request an appointment: your name, mobile number, the clinic and doctor you chose, your preferred date and time, and any note you write.
• Automatically: your approximate location only if you tap "use my location" (it is used to sort clinics by distance and is not stored against you), plus standard server logs.

How your appointment request is used

Your request goes to the clinic you selected so their front desk can confirm it. If they confirm, we send you one SMS with the final time. We do not sell your details, and we do not send marketing messages about a request you never made.

Who can see your information

Only the clinic you contacted, and the DentDesk team where needed to run and support the service. Clinics cannot see each other's patients — each clinic's records are separated in our systems.

Clinical records

If you go on to be treated, the clinic keeps your clinical record (treatment notes, prescriptions, dental charts, X-rays and bills) in DentDesk. That record belongs to the clinic, which is responsible for it as your care provider. DentDesk stores it on their behalf and backs it up so it is not lost.

How long we keep things

Appointment requests are kept so the clinic has a history of your contact. Clinical records are kept by the clinic for as long as they are required to. Server and access logs are kept for up to one year.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed and never in readable form, and clinic messaging credentials are encrypted. Access to clinic data requires a login, and staff only see the clinic they work for.

Your choices

You can ask the clinic you contacted to correct or remove the details you gave them. You can reply STOP to marketing SMS from a clinic; confirmations and reminders for appointments you actually booked are not marketing and will still be sent.
